Don McCarthy shortlisted for CI Teaching Excellence Award

March 24, 2025 by Janina Malapitan

The Teaching Assistants’ Training Program (TATP), part of the University’s Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation, supports course instructors in developing inclusive and innovative pedagogy through a variety of workshops and programs. Each year, they recognize the outstanding work of a single graduate student out of all programs, faculties, and campuses with the CI Teaching Excellence Award.

This year, our very own Don McCarthy is one of only three people across the entire faculty shortlisted for this year's CI Teaching Excellence Award! This is a fantastic affirmation of Don's work as a teacher, and something the Department can be very proud of. Last year this award was won by another Classics graduate student - Kat Furtado.

The winner of the award for 2025 will be announced on April 28th.
