Bio and Research

As a child I was always fascinated with ancient history, but Adrian Goldsworthy’s highly readable biography of Caesar was probably what sealed my fate. After some years working in film and raising a son (aptly named Hadrian Augustus), I graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA in Classics and Linguistics. My interests are wide-ranging but I find that I gravitate towards Late Antiquity, Latin and Greek syntax and psycholinguistics, and the evolution of Latin into the Romance languages.
