Biography
George Boys-Stones was educated at Cambridge and Oxford, and taught for 20 years at Durham University, before coming to Toronto in 2019. He has wide-ranging interests in the field of Ancient Greek and Roman Philosophy, but especially in the philosophical movements of the post-Hellenistic period. He is currently working on the Stoic Panaetius and his influence on Cicero and Plutarch, and on the Christian philosophers Athenagoras and Clement.
